Devonte (standing at left) and Tanto Metro respond to questions in the 'Nuff Said' chat session. The Gleaner's Sandra Davis assists. - Carlington Wilmot

LAST THURSDAY, it was more fun and games in the chat room 'Nuff Said' in www.jamaica-star.com with the exciting duo Tanto Metro and Devonte.

The two members of the Shocking Vibes outfit, fresh from touring overseas promoting their new album The Beat Goes On, were hanging out with The Star online, talking with fans from all over the world. The Star's website, launched just over two and half weeks ago, registered one million hits in its first week and offers a captive audience for all our local entertainers.

Tanto and Devonte had fun. Here are some of the questions and responses from Thursday night's chat.

Q: What is your best song to date?

TM&D: Everyone Falls In Love.

Q: Did you ever write a song and thought that it would be big and it flopped?

TM&D: Yes.

Q: Are you ever going to reach Barbados?

TM&D: Soon.

Q: I heard you both are going to France to put on a show, will it be in French and will it be reggae style?

TM&D: Will be reggae style.

Q: You guys both have the same favourite song?

TM&D: At times we do.

Q: What do you guys feel about Bounty and Beenie? Do you think they will ever stop their foolishness... or do people have to wait until one of them dead like Biggie and 2 Pac?

TM&D: It's just a matter of time. They soon stop. They are just keeping the music alive.

Q: Your songs are boring; only the one on the 'Liquid' rhythm was good.

TM&D: That is your opinion but thanks very much for liking the one on the 'Liquid'.

Q: Yo, which parish unno come from?

TM&D: Kingston

Q: Are you touring in the U.S. next year?

TM&D: Yes.

Q: Who is your favourite

TM&D: Patrick Roberts is our favourite producer.

Q: Do you guys think you will make the big time like Shaggy?

TM&D: Hopefully. We have the potential to do it.

Q: What motivated you to be entertainers, and is the industry biased at times?

TM&D: The love of music. And the industry is very biased. In every thing there is bias.

Q: What happened at your birthday bash, what was all that foolishness about between Beenie Man and Frisco Kid that I saw on video?

TM&D: It was just a misunderstanding.

Q: Hi Devonte, are you working on anything new for 2002?

TM&D: Yes we have singles and albums working on for 2002.

Q: How many albums do you currently have?

TM&D: Two albums at present.
