Improving the national self-esteem

THE EDITOR, Sir:

AS A nation we have become coarse and violent towards each other. Violence is rewarded in almost every sphere of our society.

The reason for this endemic problem of violence is one of low self-esteem.

As a people we need to start to do things to improve our self-esteem.

How about constructive criticism whenever it is warranted? We are always prepared to denigrate each other. It's time for us to make a change for the new year.
