Gov't should resign

THE EDITOR, Sir:

THE GOVERNMENT of the day must govern the country for the good of one and all and remove itself from office if it finds it impossible to do so, and not hold on to power for mere self-aggrandisement.

The large number of murders committed in the island during the year 2001, is the highest in the history of the country.

This, without doubt, is an awful blot on the Government of the day and this alone should make it resign from office and save the country from any further shame upon it.

I am, etc.,

AMOS SMITH
