POETRY SOCIETY'S NEW YEAR FELLOWSHIP
Poetry Society of Jamaica will be hosting its monthly fellowship on Januray 29 at the School of Drama, Edna Manley College, 1 Arthur Wint Drive, Kingston 5. This month's special guest poet will be Andrew Miller.
COMPETITION CLOSES
Friday, January 25, is the closing date for entries in the Art in Preparatory Schools Competition, organised by the Institute of Jamaica (IOJ). Preparatory schools are invited to submit entries in drawing, painting, crafts, graphics and sculpture to the IOJ, 10-16 East Street, Kingston.
ANNUAL NATIONAL
EXHIBITION
The 2001 Annual National Exhibition continues at the National Gallery of Jamaica in downtown Kingston until March 2002. Paintings, drawings, collages, sculptures, assemblages/installations, ceramics, and photography by 94 artists are on show. A mini-exhibition also displays works of Alexander Cooper, who received the Silver Musgrave Medal for art last year.
JONKUNNU EXHIBITION
'Run, Run, Jonkunnu A Come', an exhibition on the Jonkunnu folk form, continues at the Institute of Jamaica, 10-16 East Street in downtown Kingston. The show is scheduled to run through to next month, and opening hours are Monday to Friday 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
STOCK SHOW AT GALLERY PEGASUS
A stock show continues at Gallery Pegasus, Le Meridien Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in New Kingston, featuring works by artists Albert Wallace, John Walters, Courtney Morgan, Mazola, P.J. Stewart, Beverley Jackson, Dawn Vaz, and others.

PUBLIC SPACES'
A three-person exhibition with Denise Forbes (sculpture), Tafui (installation and prints) and Andrew Smith (photography) is scheduled to open at the Mutual Gallery, 2 Oxford Road, Kingston 5 on Tuesday, January 29 at 6:30 p.m. The exhibition will run for three weeks, after which it is scheduled to travel to Ocho Rios, Montego Bay and Mandeville.
