Tears flow at funeral for mother and daughters
There were lots of tears at the funeral service of 33-year-old Marlene "Doreen" James and her two daughters, six-year-old Shakira Malcolm and 11-year-old Tenisha Wilson who were killed during the 100 Lane Massacre on January 3rd.

Some JUTC conductors said pocketing fares
Some conductors on buses operated by the Jamaica Urban Transport Company (JUTC), have been suspected of pocketing fares instead of putting the money in the till.


Neighbourhood Watch not effective in crime prevention
Neighbourhood watch programmes across the island may be getting a bad rap, according to programme co-ordinator in the police community relations division, Sgt. Barrington Brown.


Information Minister leaves for emergency meeting on CMC
Minister of Information, Colin Campbell, was expected to leave the island today for Antigua where he is to participate in an emergency meeting to discuss the closure of the Caribbean Media Corporation (CMC) in Barbados.


Passport Office urging early renewals
Persons with passports which expire this year are being encouraged by the Immigration, Naturalisation and Passport Office to come in and have them renewed instead of waiting until the due date.
