Farmers receive goats under herd project
Two farmers recently received eight pregnant goats under the goat revolving project launched in December last year by the Ministry of Agriculture and Goat Breeders Society of Jamaica.

The pig/pork industry is in urgent need of restructuring, declared Agriculture Minister, Roger Clarke, at the recently convened National Consultation on the country's industry conducted by the Inter-American Institute For Co-operation on Agriculture.


Trelawny sugar factory to close
The Government is to intervene in the troubled sugar sector in Trelawny by taking over the sugar factories, according to Minister of Agriculture, Roger Clarke.
