Road to Swift River needs repair

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I AM writing on behalf of the citizens of McKane and Guatemala Districts in Portland. During the recent flood rains in Portland, a section of the road surface was washed away, leaving us to walk on some sliding stones which is causing a lot of problems to us young adults much less the older people.

Not even a bicycle can ride on the road. This is our main road leading to Swift River. We are still cut off from other communities. Over 300 persons are affected by this road.

With our coffee season coming up what are we going to do?

I am, etc.,

MEDORA MILLER

Portland
