New road welcomed

THE EDITOR, Sir:

ON BEHALF of the residents of Ginger Hall District a rural farming community in Bombay, Manchester, I write to express profound thanks and appreciation for the new road which was recently opened to the district.

Special mention must be made of the Member of Parliament for the area, John Junor, and Brenda Ramsay who have put in a lot of work towards the achievement of this and without whom this would not have been a reality.

Many generations from the area - grand and great grandparents - have come and gone wondering when the day would come that the community would enjoy roads and that day finally came on Friday, May 10, 2002, the day the road was officially opened.

Again many thanks, Minister Junor. We look forward to the not too distant future when we will also say thanks for electricity being installed in the community.

I am, etc.,

VINELLA HURGE

Ginger Hall District

Bombay P.A.
