Racing and golf postponed

HEAVY RAIN yesterday forced the postponement of the Labour Day meet at Caymanas Park.

The well supported 12-race programme, featuring the Labour Day Trophy over 1200 metres, has been rescheduled for today, weather permitting. Post time is noon.

Tomorrow's race meet, featuring the Owen Silvera Memorial Cup, is on as scheduled.

Meanwhile, the first two rounds of the National golf Trials at the Caymanas Golf and Country Club, which were scheduled for yesterday and today, have been postponed.

A decision on this weekend's final two rounds and the Labour Day Weekend 36 tournament at Breezes Runaway Bay will be made by the Jamaica Golf Association executive today and members will be informed.
