The Pentecostal Gospel Temple, in collaboration with the Lions Club of St. Andrew Central, presents Health Fair 2002 - Your Health and You, on the church grounds, 111 Windward Road, Kingston 2, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

REDBONES BLUES FESTIVAL

Redbones Blues Café presents the first annual Redbones Blues Festival, which began yesterday and will end tomorrow. The festival will continue today at Kings House, St. Andrew, where there will be 'Ladies Sing the Blues', featuring Zora Young, Pam Hall, Debbie Davies, Toni Lynn Washington and Maryel Epps. Then on Sunday, there will be 'Negril Music Festival' at Margaritaville, Negril. Featured artistes are Leo Casino, Christine Fisher, Ike and Valerie Woods, Eddie 'The Chief' Clear Water, Michael Burks and Irma Thomas. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and showtime is 7 p.m. Admission: $2,000 (general) and $2,500 (VIP).

PRAISE THE LORD

St. Theresa Preparatory School's PTA, in association with Love FM, presents Praise the Lord ­ A Grand Gospel Concert, at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre, beginning at 7 p.m. Guest artistes are Prodigal, Birthwright, Judy Mowatt, Winsome Benjamin, Errol Hurd, Aaron Miller, Total Praise and many more. Admission: $350 pre-sold, $400 at the gate and $200 for children at the gate.

CHILDREN'S FUN DAY

In celebration of Child's Month, the Eastwood Park Road New Testament Church of God will be hosting Rampa-A-Roo - A fun day for the young and young at heart, on the church grounds, 51 Eastwood Park Road, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Admission: free.

HIPSTERS PARTY

Xtreme Hipsters Party will be held at Club 2000, Toll Gate in Clarendon. Featuring the Hard Copy Models. Music by Coppershot Disco. There will be X Wray specials all night. Admission: $250 and $150 for VIP members.

'INCIENT TRADITION'

African Foundation for Unity and Inie Izines present 'Incient Tradition - Awareness and Talent Exposure 2002', at Rainbow Lawn, Skateland in Half-Way Tree, St. Andrew. Featuring Marcia Griffiths, Natural Black, Prince Imani, Half Pint, DYCR, Emmanuel, Lystic and many more. Music by Jah Love Sound and backing will be provided by the Boom Squad and Lion of Judah. Gates open at 6 p.m. and showtime is 7 p.m. Admission: $300 for adults and children free.

AFRICAN LIBERATION

Black Roots Production and Youth Promotion say 'I'm Never Gonna Give Jah Up' when Lincoln 'Sugar' Minott and his friends present, Birthday Bashment and African Liberation Celebration at 1 Robert Crescent (off Beechwood Avenue). Featuring Beres Hammond, Anthony Cruz, Morgan Heritage, Warrior King, Abijah, Beenie Man, Elephant Man, Determine, Tony Rebel, Tristan Palmer, Little John, George Nooks, Sugar Minott, Shalom and many more. Music by Stone Love and Youthman Promotion, backing will be provided by Abdai. Admission: $300.

SMIRNOFF PARTY

De'Andre promotion presents Smirnoff Ice Cool Saturdays this and every Saturday at the Jonkanoo Lounge, Hilton Hotel in New Kingston, beginning at 10 p.m. Music by the captain, Colin Hines.

DANCE-A-THON

The Wolmer's Dance Troupe presents their annual Dance-A-Thon at the Wolmer's Prep Auditorium, from noon to 10 p.m. Music by a popular disco.

MELTING POT

The Village Café, Orchid Patch Village, 20 Barbican Road, presents Melting Pot, this and every Saturday. Patrons are invited to bring one CD and pick one song on it that represents them, or what they like, or what they wanna share... and the disc jockeys will play it.

MINI MISS GIMME-ME-BIT

Gimme-Me-Bit Primary School will be hosting Mini Miss Gimme-Me-Bit as its annual fund-raising event at the Stereo Vibes Pub, Gimme-Me-Bit in Clarendon, beginning at 7 p.m. Music will be provided by Stereo Vibes Disco. There will also be fashion show. Admission: $200 for adults and $100 for children.

DOUBLE WHAMMY

As one half of Double Whammy at Margaritaville this Saturday, Stone Love will rock the house. Stone Love will play for the very first time at Margaritaville in Montego Bay. The party gets under way at 9 p.m.

HEATWAVE FUN FEST

As a part of the Heatwave Fun Fest in Negril, patrons will be treated to a party at the Mariners Inn (nearby Hedonism II Resort), from noon until 6 p.m. Then later on, there will be an all-inclusive pool party at Hedonism II Hotel.

WHIRLWIND OF FASHION

Whirlwind of Fashion will be held at the Golf View Hotel, 3 Caledonia Road, Mandeville, beginning at 5 p.m. Featuring A.J. Brown, Althea Laing, Champs male models and the reigning Miss Jamaica World, Regina Beavers, who will be showcasing her Miss World wardrobe. Admission: $1,000 for reserved seats and $850 for regular seats.

DRAMA READINGS

The Philip Sherlock Centre for the Creative Arts continues its series of month-end Sunday morning readings and performances with a staging of Zeno Ob Constance's play Patricia - A Love Story, beginning at 11 a.m. Admission: free.

PAGEANT FOR MOTHERS

The Jamaica Mother of the Year Pageant, Entertainment Systems Limited, EmKay Sports Limited, One Stop Party Shop and The Rib Kage present the crowning of the 'Miss Jamaica Mother of the Year 2002', at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, 81 Knutsford Boulevard, Kingston 5. Featuring Miguel models, Blossom Lamb-Evans, Trishana Clarke and Company, Delano and Demario McFarlane and Mario and Friends. Music by Floyd Foulks. Admission: $400 pre-sold, $500 at the gate and $300 for children at the gate.

LITTLE COPA SESSIONS

A weekly juggling session is being held at the Little Copa Club every Sunday. Featuring juggling from Father Gemini of Gemini Disco. The session begins at noon and goes up until 12 midnight.

GET IN THE GROOVE

Sunday nights will come alive with Get in the Groove, featuring music of the 60s, 70s and 80s at the Jonkanoo Lounge, Hilton Kingston Hotel, 77 Knutsford Boulevard. The new weekly theme party that begins at 7 p.m. until 'you say when', will see the juggling of music from yesteryear by Andrew Henry.

There will also be a prizes and surprises segment to include special guest acts and give-aways.

ST. CATHERINE

REGGAE AND SOCA JAM

TJ's Pit Stop Nightclub and Restaurant, Springfield, St, Catherine, presents their weekly session - Vintage Reggae and Soca Jam Session. The session will get under way at 3 p.m., and will run until 'you say when'.

Music will be provied. Menu includes jerk chicken, roast fish, jerk pork and fish tea on the house.
