Plaudits for Sandals Dunn's River Hotel

THE EDITOR, Sir:

GREETINGS ON behalf of the National Council for Senior Citizens, St. Ann. I wish to publicly express my sincere thanks to Sandals Dunn's River Hotel for hosting our graduation ceremony for Senior Citizens who recently completed a six-month computer course at the St. Ann Parish Library. We were royally treated and we enjoyed the event.

From 1994, the hotel and staff have been extending much generosity and care to seniors in St. Ann. We have vivid memories of our visit to St. Lucia in 1999 sponsored by Sandals Dunn's River and Air Jamaica. Some members of that group were travelling on an aeroplane for the first time and we stayed at the Sandals Halcyon Beach Hotel which was memorable.

Other outstanding events such as Renewal of Marriage Vows, Spelling Bee Competition, Festival Queen competition, Senior Citizens Sports Day and best of all, the monthly Health Clinics held in the deep rural areas of the parish. These clinics have been of enormous benefit to the seniors and are greatly appreciated.

In all of the activities and events the work of Mrs Lindsay Isaacs stands out and we salute her for her graciousness and deep involvement with the Seniors.

The resort's generous gift of a computer that was presented by Louis Grant, general manager, is appreciated and will go a far way in improving the skills of the graduating class and other seniors.

As the National Council strives to make the quality of life for our seniors better, it is my earnest hope that Sandals Dunn's River will continue to assist us in our endeavours.

I am, etc.,

CARMEN P. WILSON (Mrs)
