Community underdeveloped

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I USE this medium to bring to the attention of the public that the Frankfield community has been underdeveloped for at least 40 years now. Since then, there has been no major developments as far as housing is concerned. The main factor that inhibits this sort of development is the scarcity of land.

There are many professionals and working-class persons living here who do not desire to relocate elsewhere to find housing solutions. For a number of years, we have been losing our professionals because when it's time to purchase their own homes they go to May Pen or elsewhere where land is available.

We are suggesting to the 'powers that be' that the former Dr. Percival Minott's property that is located at Green River, Frankfield, Clarendon now owned by the Simpson's be developed for residential purpose instead of solely agricultural.

Please address this matter urgently.

I am, etc.,

B.T. POWELL

Frankfield P.O.

Clarendon
