Gov't service a national disgrace

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I MUST congratulate you for the contents of The Sunday Gleaner May 26, 2002. It is the best edition I have read in years.

Why cannot the head of the Government service

(a) instruct - heads of departments to have instructions on how to proceed leaflets prepared for distribution, when required

(b) Instruct - officers to use this leaflet in answering telephone queries.

The Government service is a national disgrace. The police department must bring the service for police reports under one location. They charge enough.

I am, etc.,

SENIOR CITIZEN
