The colour of scandals

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I WAS very disappointed by your attempt at painting the JLP with PNP-tainted 'scandal' colours. The NHT manipulations referred to took 13+ years to be considered newsworthy. This 'scandal' was kept hidden by the party in power since they took office, went through two hot elections (1993, 1997) when scandals were not in the mix and has become worthy of headlines and three dedicated pages in the Sunday Gleaner. Very strange reasoning.

By the way how did the $65,000 cost of units in question strike readers? Imagine this was possible only 13 years ago under a different Government.

I am etc.,
