Thomas, Campbell lead Commonwealth team

Thomas

NATIONAL 100 METRES champions Dwight Thomas and Veronica Campbell head Jamaica's 50-member track and field team named yesterday by the Jamaica Amateur Athletic Association (JAAA) for next month's Commonwealth Games in Manchester, England.

Thomas won the sprint double at last weekend's National Junior and Senior Athletic Championships while Campbell ran a personal best 11.01 to capture the women's 100m ahead of Olympic bronze medallist Tayna Lawrence. Both Thomas and Campbell were winning their first national senior titles.
