LEGENDARY Jamaican sprinter Merlene Ottey, who switched allegiance to Slovenia primarily to compete at this summer's European Champion-ship, is now likely to miss the Munich meet, AP reported.
Ottey's coach Srdjan Djordjevic told Slovene daily newspaper Delo on Friday that due to recent knee surgery the 42-year-old was not likely to participate in next month's European Championship in Munich.
Only one day after she had been cleared to run for Slovenia, coach Djordjevic listed her as "only 10 per cent" likely to run in Munich, AP reported.
Djordjevic said she would return slowly to the big events, and that she was possibly going to return at the Zurich event at the end of August.
