Congratulations on the games

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I WANT to congratulate the participants of the World Junior Track and Field Competition, which was held in Jamaica during this past week. Congrats to the Jamaican Government, for hosting the event, and to everyone for making it possible for us to have a peaceful week.

Congrats even to those of the Opposition party. If we can put aside our differences for this occasion, why can't we put aside our violent tendencies for the duration. We would all benefit.

Congrats to the Jamaican public who came out to support the athletes. A big congrats to the athletes themselves, they did Jamaica proud.

I am a Jamaican living in Florida, and after reading about the event, I was so very proud. I was proud to see that my country could host such an event. I say again well done Jamaica, and well done to all the athletes.

I am etc,
