I'M IN the process of doing some genealogical research. The Jamaican almanacs have been somewhat helpful. I contacted the Mormon's Family History Centre, but the information on Jamaica is quite limited. I would appreciate a response from anyone who has information about the following persons.
Lionel Benjamin Lawrence: Lionel was born July 1905 (not sure of the day). MOTHER: Ida Louise Lawrence (maiden name was Pigeon/Thousand); FATHER: Lionel Benjamin Lawrence
His father was from St. Elizabeth and his mother was from Manchester (Rose Hill/Wellington). Paternal grandfather: John Lawrence; Maternal grandfather: Rebecca Thousand.
Lionel is the oldest of nine children. Lionel married Adella Loretta Watts on April 5, 1933. They had 5 children (Mercina, Winston, Hermin, Elaine, Ina, and Hazel).
ADELLA LORETTA WATTS: born Dec. 8/9th 1905. MOTHER: Jane Watts; FATHER: Henry Watts; SISTER: Lynn Watts; BROTHER: name unknown, but moved to the USA and married a Caucasian woman.
