DB&G opens branch in May Pen

Bunting and Smalling Walker

DEHRING, BUNTING and Golding has expanded its operations to the parish of Clarendon.

The 10-year-old company opened its sixth branch, located in May Pen, yesterday, July 29, 2002. Like its counterpart in Mandeville, the branch will offer the people of central Jamaica an alternative to traditional banking and will target customers who require a wider range of financial services, more personalised service and one-on-one interface with investment experts.

As the first financial institution of its kind in the parish, DB&G May Pen will seek to provide a variety of financial services and opportunities for investment that will be tailored to meet the needs of the individual and commercial residents of central Jamaica. Like its flagship branch on Holborn Road in Kingston, the branch will facilitate money market and unit trust investments, foreign exchange trading, a stock brokerage service and provide merchant banking services as a representative office of DB&G Merchant Bank.

The company's chairman Mr. Peter Bunting, who is no stranger to the parish is proud of the performance of the other branches and is confident that May Pen will be just as successful. "Every DB&G branch is profitable in its own right and I expect the May Pen branch to be outstanding in that regard since Clarendon is one of the fastest growing and busiest regions in Jamaica," the chairman said. "For me personally, it's a homecoming of sorts, back to the parish where I was born and which I represented in Parliament."

Manager of the May Pen Branch, Ms. Jacqueline Smalling Walker is also positive about the prospects for the company in that section of the island.

"I am confident that my highly-trained team, offering excellent customer service and financial expertise, coupled with our competitive rates will attract many new clients to DB&G," said the enthusiastic Ms. Smalling Walker.

Located at 52 Main Street in the heart of May Pen, the branch will provide comfortable surroundings, spacious parking facilities and in the near future, a state- of-the-art cybercafe for the benefit of clients.
