SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, CMC:
JAMAICAN LIGHT heavyweight boxer Richard Hall gets another crack at the world title in September when he faces Poland-born German Dariusz Michalczewski in a rematch in Germany.
The World Boxing Organisation (WBO) announced this week that their undefeated champion Michalczewski will defend against Hall on September 14 in Braun-schweig, nine months after Hall lost the first fight in Berlin.
The December 2001 contest was very competitive but ended when the ring doctor stopped the fight due to grotesque swelling over the US-based Jamaican's eye.
Michalczewski boasts an impressive record of 46-0 with 36 knockouts, while Hall - getting his third crack at a world title - is 25-3 with 24 knockouts.
Hall, who had also lost a title fight to the brilliant Roy Jones in 11 rounds in Indianapolis in May 2000, has not fought since his December loss, while Michalczewski returned in April for a two-round stoppage of Joey DeGrandis in Poland.
