THE EDITOR, Sir: I WANT to make an overdue comment about the value of the education I received in Jamaica. Although I had many truly enthusiastic and informed teachers the one that stands head and shoulders above all is Mr. Radley D. Reid.
Taking a stand
THE EDITOR, Sir: Kindly allow me space in your publication to heap praise and commendation on former Member of Parliament Miss Heather Robinson for the stand she has taken against the involvement of guns in political campaigning.
Honouring achievement
THE EDITOR, Sir: I would like to take this opportunity to extend heartiest congratulations to the two students from Campion College and the Head Boy of Kingston College on their glorious achievements.
The EAC and the UPP
THE EDITOR, Sir: THERE IS an article on Page A6 of the Gleaner, dated, August 23, 2002, the headline of which states "EAC rejects UPP as political party". While the body of the article is substantially correct, the headline is totally incorrect.
