Seba lift Super Cup

WESTERN BUREAU:

FORMER champions Seba United completed their pre-season preparations on a strong note Sunday night by winning the Western Super Cup competition over Village United at Jarrett Park.

A first half goal from former Wadadah striker Markino Gillings was the only score of the night as Seba repeated their early rounds win over the Trelawny team.

The Dr. Dean Weatherly coached team, promoted to the National Premier League through a specially arranged play-off following the dismantling of the National 'A' League at the end of the last season, was the only unbeaten team in the four-team competition.

In the curtain raiser of the double header, a youthful Wadadah and Premier League newcomers Bull Bay played to a 1-1 draw.

Wadadah was scheduled to meet Reno in the third place play-off but the Westmoreland team opted to play defending NPL champions, Arnett Gardens, at Frome sports grounds instead.
