Why is it wrong?

THE EDITOR, Sir:

THE STORY making the news about the Azan family is rather disturbing. The story is representative of all that is wrong with Jamaican politics. Why is it not alright for a person to choose one political standpoint over another, based on his own opinions, and still be at peace with those opposed?

The kind of intolerance, tunnel vision and stupidly blind allegiance of the apparent majority of the Azan family represents the lack of intelligent thought that shackles so many Jamaican minds from the affluent and influential, apparently, to the very poor.

I pray that the Jamaican people will look at this story and be saddened and disappointed.

I am etc.,
