Time to discuss the issues

THE EDITOR, Sir:

WHEN WILL we as a people get to hear (free of bickering and back chat), the issues that are important to us being discussed rationally by the political parties?

Is there an able moderator who can get the main players to sit together to maturely discuss and debate what is the best way forward for Jamaica?

Can we save the inflammatory outbursts, sarcasm, slanderous and snide remarks for private dinner parties and bar talk instead of public places?

Is there a party (not person) with a plan of action for the next five years which would see: -

1. The creation of more jobs;

2. A significant reduction in crime and violence;

3. An improvement of our image in the international media;

4. The economic and social development of poorer and seemingly forgotten parishes such as Trelawny

5. Control of our increasing drug and HIV/AIDS problem?

Politicians this is Answer Time.

I am etc.,
