Poor seating at concert

THE EDITOR, Sir:

The best thing about 'Let us Rejoice and Be Glad' was the world renowned Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, who gave a stunning performance.

One of the worst thing was how the local organisers organised the event. General admission had very few seating when compared to that of the reserved section which had a lot of seats. Then of course there was the VIP section.

Needless to say those who were in the general admission area could see little or nothing! The mounted screens probably were for a show or something because those at the extreme back still couldn't see.

When the show began and the reserved area was still not full the barriers were removed, allowing people from general admission to sit in the now 'reserved' area. This of course saw one chaos as patrons were stampeding over every and anything to get a seat in the reserved area.

People are complaining about not enough seating, I can testify that this is not really true because where I was sitting a lot of empty seats were there.

I think we Jamaicans need to be appreciative of our people and not take us for granted. As I am almost sure that no great consideration was given to a lot of the people who were there.

I am, etc.,
