Angry Jamaicans and terrorists

THE EDITOR, Sir:

IT IS a pity that our debt-ridden national airline has to spend US$1.2 million to outfit each of their 20 aircraft with reinforced cockpit doors. They could save themselves US$1 million by installing 'grill' on their existing cockpit doors, as every Jamaican house does, and if necessary arm their pilots with 'lass,' as every taximan does, thus showing their roots and sparing the passenger of the cost which will in any doubt be eventually passed on to them.

Anyway God help any terrorist who tries to take over a plane full of angry Jamaican passengers who have just experienced the familiar Air Jamaica flight delay.

I am etc.,

CHRIS LEWIS
