Convenient loss of memory

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I CANNOT believe that I actually heard Mr. Edward Seaga condemning 'denigration of character' as was reported on the news this morning (September 2). I believe he must think that the majority of Jamaicans are suffering from amnesia. Is this the man who has run so many decent individuals out of public office?

Who can forget his attack on individuals over the years? Think only as recently of his personal and unwarranted attack on the Commissioner of the recent West Kingston enquiry and his attack on the character of officers of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.

It seems as if Mr. Seaga is in so much a hurry that he has left his memory behind!

I am, etc.,
