Stamps and the mail service

THE EDITOR, Sir:

NOW THAT the Postal Corporation seems to be making gains in delivery and its other aspects, I think that it is time for the price units that are displayed on stamps to be abolished and first class, second or other units be used. It is just ridiculous to be getting a mail from Jamaica and see five or more stamps all over the "small brown envelope" with the address somewhere in between four to five huge stamps.

So please Mr/Ms. Postmaster, release new stamps in classes designated for overseas and locally with special units and not with some highly ridiculous figures in dollars.

I am etc.,
