Gutter-like behaviour

THE EDITOR, Sir:

VULGAR, TASTELESS, base, embarrassing and gutter-like are the words to describe the behaviour of Mrs. Portia Simpson Miller.

Portia should be reminded that:

1. She is the wife of the CEO of a large international corporate entity.

2. Also, she is a Minister of Government.

3. She is a likely prospect for Prime Minister.

Why does Mrs. Simpson Miller believe that she cannot make her point without her histrionics? Or is it just that she believes that is the only way which the Jamaican people can understand? This is nothing more than sheer contempt. Regrettably, persons like her on countless other occasions have constantly exhibited this kind of contemptuous behaviour for the people of this country. But then, if Jamaicans are contemptuous of themselves, why shouldn't they be treated with contempt?

I am etc.,
