THE EDITOR, Sir:
I AM the mother of five children and I am searching for my daughter Arlene Cassandra Rose and my son Leon Rose (nickname Champ). I have been separated from them for many years because of physical abuse from their father. Leon does not know that I am his mother. Arlene has a son and he is about eight years old.
My daughter Arlene lives in Holland. I used to hear from her but not for the past four years. Her uncle and aunt live in Canada, but I do not know if she is living with them. The uncle's name is Bobsey Rose, and she has two aunt's named Hermin Rose and Brenda Rose. However, their surnames may be changed through marriage.
I met my son Leon Rose (Champ) a few years ago at his father's funeral in Hanover. Leon did not know I was his mother and we did not have time to exchange addresses and telephone numbers or have a chance to discuss anything. I heard that his uncle Baba Rose is fully responsible for him. I would like to get to know him and for him to meet his other brothers, nieces and nephews. I do not want anything from them. I only want to see them and to know that they are doing fine. I would like to let my son know why I had to leave him as a baby.
