It's during the dark nights of winter 2001 that The Neo Tabou Project came to birth. Of the titles recorded then, nothing remains, but the machine is launched. Built around Geoffroy, the multi-instrumentist singer, with the support of Kristov behind the drums and at the lead guitars, the band records three full-length demos in two years. Some gigs, during which they share the scene with the singers of Alone in Paris, give place to the duos Dawn and Immaculate. In 2005, the debut album, Decyphered Days / Apocalypse in a Room is produced and recorded by Geoffroy. Labelled Rock'n'Roll Expresionniste, the musical universe of the band oscillate between melancolic folk song, post-rock and noisy-pop.
