Some MPs fearful of garrisons - Blair
SEVERAL MPs, especially those presiding over so-called garrisons, have never been to some communities in their constituencies because of tribal political divisions, says head of the Peace Management Initiative (PMI), Bishop Herro Blair.

$50 million project launched to assist young persons
YOUNG persons between the ages of 17 and 29 are to benefit from a $50 million Youth Entrepreneurial Project (YEP) which will see them generating their own employment.


Golding calls for changes in DPP
BRUCE GOLDING, former president of the National Democratic Movement (NDM), said on Thursday there was need for constitutional changes to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to make it more accountable to the Jamaican people.


Liguanea post office to be completed by March next year
CONSTRUCTION of the new post office at Liguanea in St. Andrew should be completed by March of next year, according to Minister of Industry, Commerce and Technology, Phillip Paulwell.
