THE EDITOR, Sir:
I was not prepared to waste any more time pursuing something that I thought was decadent. I was once a part of the very system I now condemn, Bruce Golding.
YOU, MR. Golding went on to say that "I am totally committed to the NDM."
I question that commitment. You have essentially lapped your tail and gone back to drink the same milk from the master's cup. An important characteristic of any politician is credibility. That you don't have. If you went and formed a party and then left a throng of supporters behind, why must the Jamaican people believe that if the JLP were to form the next government under your leadership, you Bruce Golding would be committed to the task of running the country? You have demonstrated that you are a mere follower and not a leader; underscored by your failure to d win back the seat of Central St. Catherine when you were president of the NDM. And I further question why the JLP think that you who have failed miserably to convert your ideas into votes for the NDM will do it for them?
In addition it is clear that Mr. Seaga has no confidence in the deputies and they should pack up and go form another gang. What are your motives Bruce? I don't know what to believe. You were a few days ago, emphatically denying that you were heading back to the JLP, were you stringing the Jamaican people along? Can you be trusted? Where is your commitment? I am now of the view that you are not as smart as you seemed to be.
I urge you to remember that there is One Don in the Jamaica Labour Party.
I am etc.,
