A leopard cannot change his spots

THE EDITOR, Sir:

UNDER THE leadership of Edward Seaga, the Jamaica Labour Party has a relatively recent history of internal struggles and fractures, and the return of Bruce Golding at this time will undoubtedly contribute to the struggles and further fractures as dissatisfaction will surely mount. Audley Shaw's facial expression on a clipping of Cliff Hugh's programme showed on CVM television Wednesday 25, September, 2002 is an example.

The judgement and reliability of Mr. Golding are also important issues. His misjudgement cost him his seat, forced him to hop off the helm of the sinking ship - the NDM - and to eat his words and return to the JLP. Like the leopard, he has not and cannot change his spots.

I am, etc.,
