FORMER CHAIRMAN of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP), Bruce Golding, started his tour on Tuesday in the constituency of South West Clarendon. He was accompanied by his team and JLP candidate Joel Williams. The tour, which lasted all day, involved a number of community meetings.
The tour ended with a constituency meeting at Banks, where stalwarts of the JLP, including Deputy Leader Audley Shaw, Parish Co-ordinator and Central Clarendon MP Mike Henry and the BITU senior vice president and candidate for South East Clarendon, Ruddy Spencer, addressed hundreds of party supporters.
Mr. Golding told party supporters that his return to the JLP was aimed at ensuring that fundamental changes were made to prevent any government in the future from having the power to create the kind of damage to the country and the economy that the present PNP government has created.
Mr. Golding continues his constituency tours up to October 14, visiting constituencies in Clarendon, Manchester, St. Elizabeth, Hanover and St. James.
