Stop the electoral violence!

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I AM writing in regards to the upcoming election. For the past 14 years I have resided in the United States, but my mind is constantly on the development of the country where I was born and raised Jamaica. It is time for Jamaicans to see that politics has done nothing but destroy and separate the people in the country. Why, for the temporary attention that these politicians give?

Wake up, Jamaicans, in America Democrats do not kill Republicans. I know that there are individuals in Jamaica who do not want unity because they are limited to the dirt and grime that they are used to. It is time for a change and it is the people, not the government, who will bring about this change.

I am, etc.,
