For the records

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I AM flattered by an ad in your newspaper on Sunday, October 5 which, in essence, said that the College of Academic and Technical Studies has decided to implement some recommendations made by me in (i) a motivational address to its students, and (ii) a meeting with its principal.

I would like to make it clear, however, that I am not a part of the institution as some readers have inferred from this ad. For the records, I no longer teach GCE Math nor do I normally get 60 per cent passes at grade 1 from students sitting the CXC Math Examination.

My best wishes to the management, teachers and students of the College of Academic and Technical Studies as they take on the educational challenges which face our country.

I am, etc.,

RUSSELL BELL

Kingston 5
