Massive road repairs under way
An extensive clean-up and road repair programme is now under way in several communities in the Corporate Area and St. Andrew in the lead-up to the island's next general election.

Women's Manifesto ... seeking greater political power
Womens' groups across the island have called for a new face to the political scene which would include more females in any future Parliament, and by extension effectively increase the social and economic power of women in society.


When race becomes an issue
Prime Minister P. J. Patterson last year at a political meeting in Westmoreland was adamant that the so-called "race card" would not be an issue in the general election campaign which, at the time, was still some way off.
