Shootings reported in inner-city

SPORADIC SHOOTINGS were reported across a number of Kingston's inner-city communities last night.

According to the police, there was heavy gunfire in Saunders Avenue area of Mountain View Avenue, Norman Gardens and Deanery Road of Eastern Kingston; Brooks Valley in Duhaney Park, Penwood Road, Swallowfield, Hannah Town in West Kingston, Allman Town in Central Kingston and the Windsor Road area.

A sub-officer at the Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) confirmed the shootings, but said they were unable to say what was the motive behind the shooting.
