'Something Old; Something New' - Judy Mowatt's 8th album

Mowatt

THE LONG-AWAITED 14-track CD entitled Something Old; Something New will be Judy Mowatt's eighth album and her second gospel album since her conversion to Christianity. Work on the album began in 1997, however, a series of concerts on the road contributed to its delay.

The album is sche-duled to be launched on No-vember 22, at Family Church on the Rock, 12 Calcroft Avenue, Kingston 8 (off Cassava Piece Road) and will be followed by live a musical showcase at 8:00 p.m. featuring Judy Mowatt and friends.

Five of the songs on the CD were taken from some of Mowatt's previous albums, for example, Many are Called, Mother's Call, and Strength to Go Through were taken from her album Black Woman while Who is He? and Hold Dem Jesus were taken from the album Love is Overdue. Ms. Mowatt has stated that these songs were deeply inspired and every song is related to the human situation.
