Mandeville Art Fair, Nov 7-9

THE 11TH Annual Mandeville Art Fair opens on Thursday, November 7 at 6:00 p.m. at the Roman Catholic Pastoral Centre in Mandeville.

This year, some 300 pieces of Jamaican artwork are expected to be on sale at the fair, which will feature a number of artists from all over the country.

The art pieces will include oil and water paintings, ceramics, and sculptures. A release from the Catholic Pastoral Centre stated that day two of the event will be structured to accommodate art students from local schools, while day three will feature sketches and pottery making.

Within the last nine years, over one thousand pieces of Jamaican art have been sold at the fair. The revenues from the sales have been donated to the two orphanages in Catholic Diocese, as well as a home for the elderly and the indigent in Balaclava.
