He must believe in obeah'

THE EDITOR, Sir:

MR. EDWARD SEAGA has not only lost the JLP the 2002 General Election, but has forced Jamaicans to continue living under PNP Government for possibly another five years.

After losing six consecutive elections, what makes Mr. Seaga think he could win the seventh? He must believe in obeah. The reasons for his continued loss has not changed. His reluctance or inability to face the fact that his effectiveness is now marginal has once again cast a cloud of despair over every Jamaican man, woman and child.

He had advocated that certain individuals should sing a Sankey, light a candle and crawl back to him.

I, and the majority of the Jamaican people, think the time has come for Mr. Seaga to light his candle, sing his Sankey and head home to his residence and family.

At 72 years old with 40 years in politics, there is not much more he can do. Give the younger generation a chance. Give Jamaica a chance.

I am, etc.,

JACK FRANCIS
