It was a pleasure to live in Jamaica

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I WISH to express my gratitude to Jamaicans who made my stay on the island from 1991-1996 a very enjoyable one.

I wish to thank the headmistress, Mrs Sutherland, of Hampton School and her staff for the kind treatment and guidance given to me so that I could have functioned effectively in the teaching situation.

I recall the kindness of those attached to the Grace and Truth Assemblies affording me opportunities to grow as a Christian. The staff of the Malvern Library was exceptionally helpful to me on my visits to the library.

The Gleaner published quite a few of my poems providing me with adequate encouragement to write. I cannot forget Jamaica. It was a pleasure to be on the island and to interact with Jamaicans.

I am, etc.,
