Manning Cup feast tomorrow

THE last five Pepsi/Sports Plus Manning Cup second round football matches will be played simultaneously at five venues tomorrow.

With the battle for semi-final places a very close affair Inter-Secondary School Sports Association (ISSA), in the interest of what has been termed 'fair play', has decided to play all five games at 3 p.m.

In today's lone match which is of academic interest only Jonathan Grant will take on Camperdown at Emmet Park at 3 p.m.

The competition took a dramatic turn on Saturday when defending champions Bridgeport and Norman Manley, who drew 1-1 on Wednesday, bounced back to score identical 3-0 wins over last year's beaten finalists Spanish Town and Kingston College respectively. With these results both teams could advance to the semi-finals with wins tomorrow.

Tomorrow's matches are Excelsior vs Charlie Smith at Ferdie Netia Sport Complex, Norman Manley vs Spanish Town at Tony Spaulding Complex, Bridgeport vs Kingston College at Campion College, Jamaica College vs St. Jago at Excelsior and Dunoon vs Wolmer's at Emmet Park.
