CARIBBEAN SPRINT: The 2-5 favourite I'MSATISFIED, ridden by leading all time jockey Winston Griffiths for owner Joseph Duany and trainer Philip Feanny, romps the $1.5m Red Stripe Caribbean Sprint, by 7 1/2 lengths at Caymanas Park last Saturday. - Michael Sloley /Freelance Photographer

THIS week's Racing Pools game kicks off with a Restricted Allowance V (non winners of two) race over 1200 metres in which SHOWDOWN and MISS HOLLYWOOD should have a battle royal for top honours.

The lightly raced SHOWDOWN beat subsequent winner TANGO DANCER on his recent debut over 1300 metres, toting topweight of 57.0kg and if anything, will report even better for this race. Still, preference is for MISS HOLLYWOOD who has kept better company.

The four-year-old filly advertised her well being last Saturday when finishing two lengths third to EXOTIC GIFT over 1500 metres after passing the furlong pole just the leader. Back in action from the convenient mark of 50.0kg, MISS HOLLYWOOD under former champion jockey Wesley Henry, will prove hard to deny in this small field.

Next on the programme is Division I of a straight five claming race ($100,000) in which the fleet-footed pair of NORAN BATMAN and MR. EDMUNDO along with SOPHISTICATED LADY and CALL TO ARMS should have an interesting battle for top honours in the field of 11.

The free running MR. EDMUNDO should start favourite by virtue of his two lengths fifth to HEAVENLY DREAMS over the course in better company on October 19. Returning in this easier spot from the convenient mark of 50.0kg, MR. EDMUNDO, now minus his customary tongue tie, should lead home SOPHISTICATED LADY and CALL TO ARMS, both winners over the straight course in the past.

The two-year-old colts TO SIR WITH LOVE and JOHNNY'S KING should have a battle royal for top honours in the third race for the Royal Lancaster Trophy and are preferred in that order.

MEDICAL ALERT, who has shown a likeness for the straight course, looks the horse to beat in the fourth for $100,000 claimers, despite the presence of RUN BUZZ RUN, LYSA PRELUDE and QUEEEN OF CASTILE, all effective over the course.

However, MEDICAL ALERT under leading jockey Trevor Simpson should win on the strength of her one length second to LITTLE PALIUM over the course on September 14, this on a $110,000 claiming tag. Now well drawn on the outside and stepping down as well, she should win from LYSA PRELUDE and QUEEN OF CASTILE.

DIM SUM, having returned from a near one year absence to spreadeagle rivals over 1200 metres recently, should extend his unbeaten run to four in the fifth race over the straight five course as he looks a class act in the making. The ultra-consistent MISS U DOC (loves the straight) and fleet-footed AWRY should ensure he does not have things too easily in the eight-strong field.

The last three races should be won by YO YO'S PAL (working well), TIME AND AGAIN (won too easily on last) and MACCA (loves straight, went down fighting last time out). Their respective dangers are PHANTOM J, MYBLUBELLE and POLISH NURSE in the closing $100,000 claiming race.
