published: Saturday | November 23, 2002

THE EDITOR, Sir:

Re: "$4 million vanishes"

I WRITE in relation to the captioned article as well as the front-page headline of The Star of Friday, November 22, which reads, "Herro Blair's niece fights to clear her name in alleged fraud scam..."

The article on page 3 of your newspaper refers to the lady in question as "... the niece of Political Ombudsman Herro Blair..."

I hereby state that this lady is not in fact my niece, that she is not related to me or my immediate family, nor is she known to any of us.

I am etc.,

HERRO BLAIR (Bishop)

Political Ombudsman

EDITOR'S NOTE: The story aforementioned was a court report and the information Bishop Blair refers to was stated by the woman in question in court. However, we do apologise to Bishop Blair and his family for any inconvenience and embarrassment the report may have caused.
