OCHO RIOS, St. Ann:

THE ST. ANN'S Bay police have arrested and charged a bus driver with one count of manslaughter following a fatal traffic accident on the Priory to St. Ann's Bay main road last Thursday morning.

The driver Leroy Bartley of an Angels, Spanish Town, St. Catherine address has been charged with causing the death of a man who remained unidentified up to yesterday. The police say, so far they have only able to ascertain that he is called Lee and was residing in the Mountain View Avenue area of Kingston.

Bartley was reportedly driving a Toyota Hiace mini bus towards St. Ann's Bay when on reaching a section of the Priory main road he switched lanes and collided with two trucks travelling in the opposite direction before overturning. Bartley along with three passengers in the mini bus received injuries and were taken to the St. Ann's Bay Hospital where the man identified as Lee succumbed to his injuries.

One of the truck drivers and two sidemen also received minor injuries.
