Welcome back SSP Gardner
published: Wednesday | December 18, 2002

THE EDITOR: Sir

I am pleased to see the return of SSP Gardner to active duty in the JCF, especially with his appointment to head a task force that will continue the government's assault on crime. Even though his immediate assignment will target offenders, I think he will still be effective towards the cause.

There is concern though for those business enterprises that suffer at the hands of illegally parked vehicles, particularly taxis. I have seen in the past where they have caused some of these businesses to go out of operation, and that cannot be good for the country. I am now thinking that the Shell station on Eastwood Park Road might be the latest to suffer this fate.

I am hoping the SSP Gardner and his team will get the support of all.

I am, etc.,
