Tackling the crime problem
published: Wednesday | December 18, 2002

THE EDITOR, Sir:

IN VIEW of the crime which is affecting our country for a number of years, we have not found a solution to tackle this problem. Minister of Security Dr. Peter Phillips visited England in order to solve our gun crime and drugs problem but in the end, I do not see where they donated the £1 million other than for stopping drugs from entering their precious country. As far as I can see both America and England are not interested in tackling the problem of guns that are entering Jamaica.

These people have found a market for their guns. And in the end black people suffer, can't we see?

I am, etc.,
