JP needed for Pretoria Road
published: Monday | December 23, 2002

THE EDITOR, Sir:

IT IS in my interest that I query the whereabouts and availability of a Justice of the Peace (JP) for my community.

With many Petty Sessions taking place, persons who need advice or counselling or more importantly having documents and/or pictures to sign as well, the community needs a JP.

It's no wonder some people turn to the 'dons' within the community to solve various disputes and critical matters. These 'dons' after doing any good take the youths and influence them to do vicious acts or take revenge on anyone who has done wrong to persons within the community.

Sometimes we have to turn to the pastors to stamp and sign pictures, which is not always successful.

I would like to know which JP serves my community, so we can meet and get to know him/her so that our important documents and photos can be signed with ease.

I am, etc.,

S. SPAULDING (Miss)

Pretoria Road
